Gastric calibration tubes come in various sorts and sizes: ranging from plain suction tubes to sophisticated tubes with balloon. The tube is specifically listed for use as a calibration device for sleeve gastrectomy and (mini) bypass, is available in 34, 36, 38 and 40fr and is colour coded.
Our gastric calibration tube is made of medical-grade silicone gel. Unlike ordinary gastric calibration tubes made of PVC, it will not become fragile and soft after withstanding normal human body temperature.
Gastric calibration tube made of PVC is too soft, so it’s difficult to guide accurately and easy to kink. And our gastric calibration tube has a moderate hardness and is extremely convenient to use, which is deeply loved by doctors.
The inner wall of our gastric calibration tube is embedded with a developing line extruded after mixing with barium sulfate, which can be used for X-ray machine to observe the precise position of our gastric calibration tube.
There are 6 small holes at the end of our tube for suction and flushing, which can effectively avoid the kinking of the pipe due to too large holes. The large hole is also easy to suction the gastric tissue into the tube when aspirating, resulting in gastric bleeding and vacuum formation.
A stop clip is set at the end of the tube, which can be used by the anesthesiologist to avoid the leakage of methylene blue injection after the first methylene blue injection is injected.
